Exterior Stains

Some people choose exterior stains instead of paint.  Stains soak into the wood instead of coating the surface.  Instead of sheen, you will select products based on opacity, how easy they are to see through.  You can choose from a natural translucent which allows you to see the wood grain to a solid, which looks like a paint.  PPG Proluxe (formerly Sikkens), Benjamin Moore Arborcoat, and Messmers are all excellent stains to protect your home.
